Define test requirements unambiguously using TestIDs that encode method, parameters, and conditions
Material Sampling & Part Release Manager
Define test requirements unambiguously, commission accredited laboratories in minutes, and generate customer-ready initial sample test reports automatically — for every OEM you supply.
Sampling shouldn't consume half your quality engineering hours
For material manufacturers, compounders, and Tier-1/-2 suppliers, the path from a customer enquiry to a formally released material is rarely linear. Every new project starts with the same friction: customer specifications arrive in different formats per OEM, test requirements leave room for interpretation, laboratory coordination runs on email threads and PDF attachments, and results come back in shapes that need manual rework before they can enter your quality system. Each OEM expects its initial sample test report in its own template — typically filled by hand. And once a material is approved, it sits in your archive, invisible to potential new customers further along the same supply chain.
The cumulative effect is measurable: longer time-to-market, higher process cost per approval, and a quality team that spends more time coordinating than qualifying.
One platform for the entire approval chain
The Material Sampling & Part Release Manager covers your sampling and release process end-to-end:
Configure complete test plans in under five minutes — referencing OEM specifications and customer-specific variations
Commission accredited testing laboratories directly from the platform — over 50 in the network
Receive structured test results automatically mapped to your test plan
Validate against acceptance criteria and generate customer-ready initial sample test reports automatically
Send the generated Report to its reciver; weather it is an OEM or an Tier-1/-2 Supplier.
List approved materials in the Brain of Materials network where Tier-1 and OEM teams can discover them
From customer enquiry to released material — without media discontinuities
1. Unambiguous test plans with the TestID
The TestID (TID) is a unique, machine-readable identifier that defines a single testing requirement, including its method, parameterisation, conditions, and specification reference. Where a customer specification might say "tensile test according to ISO 527 at room temperature", the corresponding TestID resolves every parameter that sentence leaves open: specimen geometry, strain rate, conditioning time, exact temperature range, acceptance criteria.
For your team, this means a customer's test scope can be turned into an executable test plan in minutes — without an iterative clarification cycle with the laboratory or the customer.
2. Direct laboratory commissioning
Once the test plan is configured, you commission a laboratory directly from within the platform. The Brain of Materials network includes over 50 accredited testing laboratories. Each laboratory you enquire with can submit an offer; you compare offers side by side and accept the one that fits your timeline and budget. No separate procurement workflow, no fragmented email coordination, no ambiguity over scope or conditions — the laboratory receives a complete, structured description of what to test.
3. Automated result feedback and ISIR generation
When testing is complete, results flow back into the platform automatically and map to the corresponding TestIDs. From there, results validate against the defined acceptance criteria, and initial sample test reports and PPAP packages are generated against your customer's required template — for Volkswagen, BMW, Mercedes, and others. The complete chain, from commissioning to release, is captured in a single audit-proof record.
4. Listing approved materials in the network
Once a material is released for a customer, you can list it in the Brain of Materials network. Tier-1 and OEM material engineers searching for materials that meet specific requirements can discover yours — on the basis of approved, structured technical data. An approval becomes a sales asset, not just a compliance artefact. The same listing data feeds directly into the Marketing & Sales Assistant for funnel visibility on who is evaluating your materials.
Concrete outcomes across quality, sales, and management
For quality and material engineering
Test plans configured in under five minutes instead of half a day; a single coordination layer across all customer projects and laboratories; automated initial sample test report generation per OEM template; clear, traceable validation against acceptance criteria.
For sales and product management
Approved materials become discoverable to potential new customers in the supply chain; customer interactions accelerate when test data is structured and instantly comparable; supplier qualification cycles shorten significantly.
For executive management
Up to 45% efficiency gains in the initial phase; pre-development and series-development time reduced from 50 to 25 months until SOP; audit-proof documentation aligned with IATF 16949; reduced reliance on customer-specific reporting formats; a future-proof foundation aligned with VDA 231-301 and DIN SPEC 91383.
